A visit to the elf hospital

Do you know about the power of Elf on the Shelf? He's amazing! I'm just wondering who I can find to hang around the house for the rest of the year. :)

Anyway, the kids stayed with mine and Drew's parents while we were in NY this past week. And Delf (the kids' Elf on the Shelf) magically found his way to both of their houses while we were gone. Can you believe that? ;) Well, somehow on Sunday right before Drew and I got back to Little Rock, Benjamin touched Delf. That was one of the first pieces of information that Mary Elizabeth told me and Drew as soon as we saw them at the airport, too.

When Mary Elizabeth woke up yesterday morning, she instantly noticed that Delf wasn't there and was completely upset about it and pretty much mad at Benjamin. So we got to work and she wrote Santa a letter.

Benjamin remained as his usual mischievous self and hid. Ha!

Here's the letter that ME dictated to me:
"Dear Santa, Ben touched Delf when we were going to pick up Mommy and Daddy from the airport in my polka dot pink suitcase.Santa, Delf is at the doctor. Will you make Delf be ok and get his magic back?"

Signed Mary Elizabeth (I'm so proud that she can actually write all 13 letters of her name even if it is wrapped around the sides!)

And off to the North Pole the letter goes. I wish you could of seen the mailman's face when he found the letter in the mailbox. He wasn't quite sure what to do with it since there wasn't even an envelope. :)

In case you're wondering...Delf made it back to our house this morning safe and sound!
