Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Happy birthday, VeVe!

We celebrated VeVe's birthday today at our house. It was fun to get to host what will, hopefully, be many family meals at our house.
ME "designed" the entire cake. She specifically requested that it be white cake with white icing (VeVe's favorite) and decorated with pink and purple polka dots and flowers. Future cake decorator or party planner possibly?

Singing "you look like a monkey"...

Doesn't that look appetizing? :)

I love these smiles!

Who doesn't love to lick the bottom of the candles? That's an important job!

ME, aka the party planner, insisted that we play of game of "Daddy's bag game" out in the front yard after VeVe's lunch. Fire boots and crowns are a requirement!

Benjamin did a great job being a sideline coach in his Hummer.

Not too bad for a couple of crazy kiddos!

Since we moved out of our house and haven't really had a "real routine" these past few weeks, I've felt so distant from the kiddos. Benjamin has been biting A LOT at school and ME has been getting bitten at school. Talk about playing with a momma's emotions!

Anyway, I've been trying to keep some normalcy or some fun in our lives with different activities. We got to go to our friend LaLa 2's (aka Lauren) surprise birthday at the zoo a few weeks ago. Benjamin didn't care too much for posing for pictures. However, my little ham had no problem loving on the bunny and smiling.

Earlier this week, ME told me that she and I needed to go on a girls date. I asked her where we should go and, without hesitation, she said that we needed to go to the art show so we can paint her hands on a plate. I realized that she meant that she wanted to go to the art store to paint a plate. I love my little artist!
Can you see her paint palette? Of course, it contains pink, purple, blue, and green paint.

This is the plate that ME chose. She completely designed the entire plate with the exception of me helping her paint the butterfly.

Our new home

Well, it's official! We finally closed on our new home today!!! Woohoo! Ahh! Sigh! Can you tell that I'm excited? :) After we closed, our family met us at our new house for the official tour. VeVe and D-dub even brought us some champagne to celebrate.

We are so greatful for this new adventure for our family and thankful for the door that God has opened for us. I'm looking forward to getting make many new happy memories in this home and can't wait for all of our friends to come hang out with us. Guess I need to get ready to unpack some boxes!

He is risen indeed!

Magically the Easter Bunny figured out where we've been staying and filled the kids Easter Baskets! They were so excited this morning to see that the bunny really did come to Brant and Kari's house. I know that the kids don't really understand the purpose of the holiday, but it sure is fun to see their excitement, to go to church with family, and spend time with family. ME is starting to comprehend that Jesus died on the cross and that He's somewhere up there...guess I need to work on the meaning a little more!
Benjamin proudly showing off his candy!

ME claiming her candy-filled eggs.

Annie got to enjoy her first Easter, too.

ME sure does love some makeup!

I guess the Easter Bunny heard that Benjamin didn't have any boy costumes in McKenzie's playroom or at school. Check out the cutest "Pooperman" (aka Superman)!

McKenzie let Kari put a bow in her hair this morning and she still had it in after church!

LaLa got all of the kids these stickon mustaches. Aren't they cute?

The trio enjoying all of their loot from the egg hunt.

Since Annie couldn't participate in the egg hunt, she got to just chill. I think she looks pretty cool with a mustache. ;)

After we had lunch at LaLa and Dandy's house, we went back to Brant and Kari's. The kids went straight to playing with their basket goodies.

The Pooperman was rescuing his Sissy.

Getting ready for Peter Cottontail

We are still living with Brant and Kari, so ME has been pointing out to me that we don't have any of our Easter decorations out almost any chance that she gets. So I thought we should die Easter eggs today, even though Easter is tomorrow. All in all, it was still fun getting to make this memory with my precious babes.

Easter Egg Hunt at VeVe's House

After the church Easter Egg Hunt, we went to VeVe's house for another egg hunt.
Benjamin loves all of the musical decorations around the holidays!

Daddy Mike sent the kids piggy banks for their Easter gifts. What do you think? Does ME love hers? Or does she love it? :)

Benjamin didn't quite understand that the crown was attached to the glass pig!

As always, ME has to be stylish while hunting for eggs.

"Can I go get more eggs now?"

VeVe helped ME start this planter box a few years ago. ME takes it very seriously!

My cute little gardeners.

What boy doesn't love playing with water?

But he even loves bigger water!

Let's go fly a kite...

er...uh...let's go run with a kite instead.

Can you see her chipmunk cheeks filled with candy?

A perfect day for blowing bubbles!

And a perfect day for popping bubbles!
