Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

My sweet dreamers

I had my fun evening with my Sunday School girls tonight, so Drew had his fun evening with our sweet babies. Just look at these sweet faces that I found in my bed when I got home! They make my heart sooooo happy!!!

Ice cream tastes better when you share it

We celebrated surviving our first week of school tonight with a visit to Loganberry. I just love how they share everything...almost!

ME loves school

ME's teacher sent me this pic of her today at school. The message said that these girls have become friends fast this week. That makes this momma happy since I will hardly get a chance to stop by the school to see her with her new friends!

Random pics of my crazy kids

Ok, really this is mainly about Benjamin, but I had to share these pics even though there wasn't an appropriate category.

I'm hoping this is one of the few times I'll ever see him on a motorcycle!

This is Benjamin's idea of playing with his trucks...lining them up in a row. Remind you of a little girl at Christmas time?

Benjamin's teacher sent this to me from one day this summer. He was really enjoying his lunch!
Drew sent this to me while ME and I were working at KOTA Camp. The message said "I'll teach you to leave me behind".

My parents always get the kids on Wednesday since Dandy is usually off.

Don't you think they need a few more kiddos to add into the group? :)

1st Day of School for the Dees household

As for many moms, the first day of school is always an emotional day. But I think for me, it was especially emotional this year. First of all, I got "demoted"...just kidding! I moved down to Kindergarten this year (which I truly am excited about)!!! Secondly, ME started Pre-K...but not at Roberts. I'm still having a hard time accepting the fact that we're not going to be going to school together this year, but I know that God has a plan and a reason for this. Lastly, my first day of school was also the same day as both Benjamin and Mary Elizabeth's first day of school. So I didn't get to go with them to school and take 1st day of school pics of them...I had to rely on Drew's photog skills instead. So I made sure that the entire household was dressed and ready before I had to be at school by 7:15 this morning, so I could at least snap a few shots of them before I left. I saw this cute idea on Pinterest and actually followed through with it for taking their first day of school pic. I just hope I actually remember to do it every year now. Ha!

How appropriate. When I asked Benjamin what he wanted to be when he grows up, he said he wanted to be a dress, then he said he wanted to dress like mommy. Then I finally got him to say a more appropriate answer. He wants to be a lion when he grows up. I think he'll make a great lion considering he runs around like Simba almost every night, too!

ME wants to be a Mommy Doctor so she can take care of babies. I think she's got the perfect heart for that!
One of many attempts to get a pic of them together.

This is a pic of me on my first day of school. While my kids were on their way to school, I was at my school posing with everyone else's child for their first day of school pics. One of the downfalls of being a teacher is missing out on your own children's events.
After school, I took the kids to Orange Leaf. That seems to have become our first day of school tradition now...a pretty tasty tradition! I think this was much deserved for me controlling my emotions today. Plus Drew said that Benjamin had a rough morning on his first day of school. He cried when Drew took him into his new class. The crazy thing about that, though, is that Benjamin had been going to school (the same school) all summer. I hope this isn't a sign to what his year is going to look like!

ME loved her new class and her teacher. We found out that she knows a lot of the boys in her class either from her old daycare at St. James, or through some of our friends. Now if we can only meet some girl-friends. :)

Back to school for me, all play for the kids...

Sadly, my Summer break has come to an end, which means that I have to start "passing around my kiddos" for the next week while I attend my teacher meetings...BOO! Luckily, my kiddos are very spoiled and have the best grandparents and a loving aunt that are willing to keep them during the day!

Today, Dandy took them to the downtown bridge by the Clinton Library and then they did a little grocery shopping. From the looks of these pics, I think they had fun!

The grocery car at Kroger couldn't even wake Benjamin because he too much fun with his Dandy.

I'm definitely thinking that they didn't develop their daddy's scared of heights syndrome!

My imaginative son

My little guy is always a "drama queen". Or should I say "drama king"? It was raining today so he wanted to go watch it from the door. As soon as he saw it, he said that he will use is "uhella"...his hands. That's good logic right?

It's my party (part 1)

I celebrated my birthday with Drew's side of the family today. The exciting part was that it was at my house and we had room for everyone!!!

These kids must be pretty special! Somehow they always manage to get their own presents on other people's birthdays. ME was pretty excited about her new puppy purse!

Benjamin got a new lunchbox...go Yankees!

Cakes sure do taste better with little fingers bringing it to you!

They LOVE to lick the icing on the candles!

ME is ready for Razorback football season...and some square dancing! :)

Benjamin wasn't quite sure why he is wearing a long sleeve shirt in the middle of the summer. But it's a good looking shirt!

Gotta love family!

My mom and I took the kids to Texas this week to visit our family and go to a wedding. We got to stop by and see my cousin, Leslie, and her boys for a little bit. It's so funny because we don't see them a lot, but you would think that we see them everyday the way my kids talk about Ethan and Tristan. It's too bad that our families couldn't live closer.

Prince Benjamin

I got to have a little date with my little man today. He chose to go to the "King Burger" as his sissy calls is. I think he'd make a great Prince Charming. Don't you?
