Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Sleeping in the Rock

I forgot to add that I love going to the pediatrician because I find out that we all get to sleep more in the Dees household at each visit! At our first visit, the Dr. told us to skip a few feedings during the night as opposed to feeding every hour like we did the first week. Last week, she told us to start aiming for no feedings through the night so we can sleep all night. I'm proud to say that Mary Elizabeth slept all night last night and didn't wake up until 6:30 this morning!

I'm how many months?

I can't believe it, but Mary Elizabeth was 2 months old yesterday. Wow...that seems like forever (and I've loved every bit of it)! We went today for her 2 month checkup and she's still healthy and growing like a rose as my dad says. She now weighs 11 lbs. 11 oz., is 23 3/4 inches long, and for all of Drew's friends, her "dome" circumference is only 15 inches (31 percentile). She is smiling all the time and "talking" up a storm, which makes me laugh and makes it hard for me to get anything else done during the day. She's really starting to experiment with rolling to one side, too. Here are some pictures from yesterday showing how she likes to move.
This is how mommy laid me down.
This is how mommy found me when she turned back around.

I'm all smiles

Last week Mary Elizabeth started to look at us intently and started smiling really big and really long. I was lucky that I was able to capture this unforgettable moment. You can tell that she really enjoyed hanging out in her swing.

Happy Valentine's Day

Mary Elizabeth wanted to say Happy Valentine's Day!

I'm a (foot and hand) model...

I'm a terrible friend in that I have not posted Mary Elizabeth's pictures that my friend Sarah took of her when she was only 3 days old. Since it was only the day after I got out of the hospital, we weren't quite prepared for her professional photo shoot, and her clothes were falling off of her. Although Mary Elizabeth slept or cried through most of the shoot, we had tons of fun! Below are a few of the pictures that Sarah took. I have a bunch more cute ones (ones actually of her face), but I can't figure out how to post the rest of them for some reason. We're supposed to be taking more pix with Sarah this weekend and are looking forward to it! Thanks Sarah!
