Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

ME's last day of daycare!

I don't know if I should be happy or sad.
Today was ME's last day of daycare. ME isn't quite understanding the fact that she won't be going back or probably won't see her classmates anymore, but she sure is excited about getting to stay home with me this summer as am I! One thing she's for sure about, though, is that Benjamin hasn't had his last day of school yet and he still has to go during the summer. I know that because she's been telling him that all week! Little does she know that I probably won't be sending him everyday or all day.

1st day of school 8.15.11
Last day of school 5.31.12

She had Miss Kim wrapped around her finger. I think Miss Kim would have bent over backwards for this little girl!

Our little dancin' queen

Today  was ME's dance recital at Wildwood Park for Performing Art. It was quite a change coming from all of my years spent at Robinson Auditorium, but it was still fun to see our baby girl on stage!

My modest little mini-me
There were no dressing rooms backstage, so ME was not happy about having to change in front of everyone back there. Mom and Sarah, sound familiar? :)

We found some props backstage, so I tried to catch a few snapshots. Professional model right? :)

McKenzie and Benjamin got to come this year. McKenzie was so excited to come that she wore her "dance shoes" (black patent church shoes). She balled after we left because she thought she was going to get to dance on stage.

Tada!
ME did a great job dancing...after her eyes adjusted to the lights and she found her teacher to follow along with the steps.

After the recital, we had a little photo op with ME and Ben Ben. I guess Benjamin was too cool for posing.

ME was so excited to get her bouqet of flowers. She asked me several times this morning if she would be getting some just like last year. I guess she did a great job since she got more than one bouqet.

She was proud of her flowers!

We're so proud of our little dancin' queen!

Benjamin was proud of his sissy too. He just didn't want to be part of our group photo.

E-I-E-I-Ohhh...Luke is 2!

Benjamin's classmate, Luke, had a farm birthday party today. Although it was really hot, it was really fun! We got to take Davis along with us, so Benjamin had to dress just like him, except he wanted his cowboy boots for the farm party.
Benjamin waiting his turn to feed the 10 day old cow.

ME had specific requests as to what to wear and how to fix her hair today (braided pigtails). I think it was perfect for the farm animals. Ha!

Love this! Davis and ME waiting their turn to go inside the petting zoo area.

Benjamin and I waiting our turn.

ME loving on the baby goats.

Davis was all smiles petting the animals.

These baby pigs were just days old.

Ben Ben wanted so badly to hold the baby ducklings, but they so badly didn't want him to hold them.

I love back shots! They are being so patient while the calf was resting.

Snack time! Isn't that what you do with your Cheetos?

Davis seems like a pro at eating Cheetos.

My silly face girl

After snacks, the kids got to go on pony rides...

...and llama rides!

How many of you can say that you've ridden a llama?

As you can see from Davis' face, you can tell that they all loved the llama!

ME was in heaven getting to ride a pony...she says that she dreams about having a pony every night.

A natural cowboy.

Enjoying dirt cake on a hayride makes for a fun ending!

Practice makes perfect (part 2)

Here are some more photos that were taken with my mom's phone from today's rehearsal.

Practice makes perfect

Mary Elizabeth had dress rehearsal today. She and the other girls did great considering that they had a hard time finding their teacher to follow along with the dance moves. Now I know why they have a dress rehearsal, so they can figure out lighting!
ME was trying to find her teacher. I love the little girl in front of her searching for the teacher!

ME's got this posing thing down!

Ben Ben has the posing thing down, too!

I have no words for this precious face except...MELT. MY. HEART!
