Look who's four!!!!

I know that I'll say this every year, but I really can't believe that our Princess turned four today! Seriously, where does the time go? Mary Elizabeth has brought us so much joy to our lives and has changed our lives forever in such a good way. We had such a great time celebrating this sweet girl's birthday today, too.

ME is the best little helper! She helped me yesterday make cookies and then she cleaned up the kitchen practically all by herself!

How did Delf know that today was her birthday? And he brought balloons in her favorite colors (pink, purple, blue, and green).

Benjamin decided to dress up in his finest (his diaper) and play a little birthday number for his sissy.

ME asked for a chair for her dresser and she specifically requested that I paint her favorite colors on it. She was so gracious when she saw it in her room!

How can a four-year-old be such a popular girl? My phone rang all morning for her. She's proudly talking to her Uncle Bebo in this picture.

Did I mention how helpful ME is? She and Benjamin had to pick up their teacher gifts from LaLa, so ME took it upon herself to poor the salsa into the jars and count the jars to make sure that all of her teachers got a gift.

In addition to celebrating ME's birthday, we also got together with our neighborhood group for a Polar Express party at Anna Carol's house. Everything was so cute! The kids painted their ornaments, watched Polar Express for about 10 minutes (ha!), had plenty of delicious snacks (thank Pinterest), and enjoyed playing outside in the warm weather.
I love how Benjamin always has that look of concentration!

ME chose one of her favorite colors to paint on her ornaments. Davis chose white. :)

Don't you love Mason's gingerbread man that he decorated? ;)

ME had to get away from ALL of those boys! Thankfully she has Baby Beth Ann and Baby Aubrey to look forward to playing with soon. She's so ready for them to get bigger.

Don't let this fool you! Benjamin sat still long enough to take one bite of his snacks before he was running around.

I love the splash of pink from ME in the background of all of these boys.

They were really into the movie...just long enough to see the hot chocolate scene.

Benjamin enjoyed being a taste tester today!

The weather was nice enough for the kids to go outside and play. So ME went out there and started tackling all of the boys. Ha!

Davis and ME were sweet enough to entertain Baby Beth Ann.

Even big kids still need their beauty sleep.
Once ME wokr up from her nap and Drew got home from work, she opened her other present and we headed out for dinner.
Our little artist is running out of space to store all of her art supplies, so she got an art bucket (thanks Pinterest for the idea) filled with more art supplies. Her response: "Oh, I LOVE it!" She sure does know how to make you feel good. ;)

ME's birthday choice of food...RIBS!!!
We were planning on taking her to PF Chang's since everytime we drive by there she tells me that she goes there (she's nver been there once) all the time and that the horse statues outside of it are hers. However, when we started talking about going to dinner tonight, she said, with no hesitation, that she wanted ribs with no any black stuff.

The birthday Princess with her ribs!
After dinner, we headed out for our family tradition of driving around to look at Christmas lights.
The phrase of the night from Benjamin: "Look guys! Lights!" Look guys! Lights!"  We heard this at least 50 times tonight. :)

Mary Elizabeth, thank you so much for being the sweet girl that you are. Mommy and Daddy love you so very much and can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for you as you grow up. Happy birthday, Princess!
