Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Thanksgiving 2010

OK, I think I'm FINALLY caught up to December now...whew!!! We celebrated Thanksgiving at my parents house this year with Bebo, Aunt Kari, McKenzie, VeVe, and DDub. My mom had some great help prior to Thanksgiving Day to get ready.
ME colored place cards for all of us.
After dancin' class (which actually was cancelled and I forgot about it), ME stopped by to help LaLa do final touches to the tree.
Dandy made some Benjamin stew...delish!

Seeing how there are three little bitties running around now, I didn't do so well with taking pictures this Turkey Day. But we had lots of fun just watching them all interact with everyone!
I love watching Benjamin and McKenzie play together!
Not even the Cowboys game could stop these busy bodies!
Benjamin definitely learned how to use "more" in the correct context that day! The boy loves him some food! He didn't care what it was!!!
Here are the beautiful, one-of-a-kind placemats:
ME had her very own special placemat that she made at school.
I think these shirts that my wonderful friend, Sarah, at Make it Initial made shows just how wonderful the food was! Luckily, all of the spots came out!!!

Fall Neighborhood Fun

I finally got to go to a Razorback game this Fall! However, that meant that I had to miss out on some Halloween activities for the kids. My parent's neighborhood always does a hayride every year, so the kids got to go with LaLa, Uncle Bebo, Aunt Kari, and McKenzie. By looking at the pictures, I have no doubt that they had fun! A pumpkin on the loose!
Halloween is no exception to get them to all look the camera.
I think she's eating a hot dog. She'll never miss out on a hot dog!
I love this face!
Have you ever seen a flying ladybug as cute as this?
They got to sit on a fire truck but weren't so sure about it!
Food tastes so much better when it's blue and all over your face!
The fearless duo on the slide!
My little pumpkin has no fear!

"Hmmm...what should I do now?"

I love this face too!
Bebo looks like he has it under control.
I love how they just cling to each other!
Well...at least they're all looking in the same direction!
But that didn't last too long!

Sneak Peek @ Trick-or-Treating 2010

Of course, my camera decided to give me fits right when we headed out to trick-or-treat and go to our neighbor's party. Luckily, I got one picture right before Mr. Nikon started to act up. I will hopefully have pictures from a friend very soon!

Pumpkin Carving with the Atkins

We went to the Atkins' house on October 29th to carve pumpkins with the kiddos. ME and Davis both loved it, even though it required ME to get her pretty little hands icky. But she quickly got over it and had fun once she realized what was going on. While Davis, Ryan and Ashley chose a cute, traditional pumpkin face, ME and Drew chose a little more complicated pirate skull. When I wasn't busy chasing Benjamin around (which was practically all night) I just enjoyed watching Mary Elizabeth's face as she helped her daddy. We had a fun night, even if I had to "repair" the skull's eye patch and Ryan tried to chop off his finger. ;)

Church Fall Carnival

I know...it's almost December and I'm still blogging about October. Better late than never...right?!?!

We took the kids to our church carnival on October 24th. I got to enjoy it this year because both ME and Benjamin were interested in walking around and playing. Our first year we went, ME wasn't walking yet and just wanted to crawl. Then last year I stayed at home with Benjamin for fear of the stupid H1N1 that everyone freaked me out about. However, I was afraid that we were going to have to leave this year because the tornado sirens started going off as soon as we got there. Luckily, it didn't last long!

Princess ME and Buzz Lightyear Kemp braving the sirens and waiting.

My little pumpkin found him a real toy...a Harley (or some kind of motorcycle)!

"This is fun! I think I'll stick around with this slide!"

I know it's hard to see, but I love ME and Kade's faces in this picture. They loved falling!

ME loved the bounce house so much that she bounced her petticoat right off from her dress! :)

ME wasn't quite sure about the games at first until she realized that she got candy everytime! Benjamin loved watching his sissy!
But it didn't take long for him to partake in the festivities.

But he somehow managed to keep finding his way back to the slide.
I may be biased, but I think this is the best looking pumpkin ever!

13 isn't always a bad number

13 months old
I thought that Benjamin just turned one yesterday. It's crazy how he went from being a baby to a little boy overnight! All of a sudden, he's all boy and totally into trucks, tackling, balls, and anything else that moves. He's such a bundle of fun!
He's getting more creative with his playing. Just seconds before this picture of him "drinking and driving", he was driving the bottle around on the car. He was pretty impressed with himself!

Things Benjamin's into these days:

  • Says "ba" for ball, points to the ball, and throws it
  • Says "shh" now by putting his finger up to somewhere on his face (not quite to his mouth)
  • Says "more" and sometimes signs it
  • Is completely on whole milk now (what am I going to do with my pump from the past 3 years?!?!)
  • Actually reaches for Drew now (big accomplishment!)
