Ben is ten (months)

Hey, lady, take the picture already! I've got toys to play with!

I'm a poet and I didn't even know it! Ben is 10 months today...2 months away from being 1-year-old!?!?! Here's what Benjamin's been up to this past month.
  1. He's taking steps. He loves to stand and will take about 3 steps every now and then. Uh oh!
  2. He is still clapping all of the time...even in his sleep!
  3. He started sucking his thumb again. We haven't seen that in several months! But I think it's here to stay for a while!
  4. He loves music. He especially loves to drum or dance to music by bouncing on his bottom. I definitely don't think he got his daddy's rhythm (yeah!).
  5. He's a great eater! He hasn't refused anything that's been put in front of him yet, including dog food. ;)
  6. He's expanding his vocabulary. He says "momma" all the time. Have you seen the commercial for Family Guy where baby Stewie keeps saying "momma"? Ben sounds like that with him repeating it. We hear "dadda" quite often, too. The other cute part about it is that ME thinks she has to translate for us and tell us that he's saying our names. This weekend, Ben started saying "mah" for the Map on Dora. Do we watch too much Dora in this house for a 10-month-old to know that? Ha!
  7. He follows ME around everywhere and wants to do whatever she does. Rather it be dancing to music, beating on the window, or potty-training (just kidding on the last one...he just really wants to see what's down there). The best part about it (97% of the time) is that she lets him follow her and she shares really well with him or helps him with whatever she's doing.
  8. He's made diaper changing extremely difficult! So much that I've literally been in tears a few times after the whole process. Giving him a toy to hold while I change him barely works anymore.
  9. He's become such a flirt! It seems like I've had more strangers come up to me to tell me how precious he is this past month than ever before. And it's because he just flashes those dimples to them and "talks" to them.
  10. He's really been trying to wave or reach for things with his hands lately. If only he had Inspector Gadget arms...

He starts daycare tomorrow. I'm excited and sad all at the same time that my little baby boy is going to school. But his big sissy is super excited that he's going to her school with her. As you can probably tell, he's constantly on-the-go and we're constantly having fun.
