20 months and 2 days old

Don't hate me because I have beautiful bed head!
Can you tell that I've gone back to work? I try my hardest to at least post on the 21st of each month for ME's monthly bday. But seeing that I'm back at work, not to include being 32 1/2 weeks pregnant, I'm a little (actually a lot) exhausted and haven't had energy to even lift my finger to type once I get home. So I apologize for the lengthiness of this, but again I do this as my "scrapbook", too.

Anyway, ME is developing more of a personality everyday. Really, she's developing more of an OCD personality. For instance, I am not allowed to talk on Drew's phone, my mom's phone, or anyone elses because it belongs to them (and vice versa). Drew cannot be seen carrying my car keys because they belong to me (and vice versa). I can't slide Drew's sandals on to walk to the mailbox because...I think you get the picture. If any of this happens, ME throws a fit until everyone has their own belongings. The advantage to this is that she likes to put things back in the right spot, when she's thinking about it. So half the time, she'll put her shoes and toys away when she's finished with them without being asked. Oh, speaking of shoes, you can't leave them lying around the house either because she'll bring them to you and make you put them on even if you don't want them. So it's just better to always have your house picked up.

Other ME news...we've officially moved her to her big-girl room and she's now in a big-girl bed! We did this the first week of August just before I went back to school. The first few nights were great, so I thought we would have no trouble with the transition. Boy, was I wrong! Around 4a.m.ish most nights, she climbs out of her bed, walks to the door and tries to open it, then starts yelling for me. She's always called me "Mama", then she changed it to "Mommy" during her first weekend in her new bed, then just switched to "Mammie". I guess this getting out of bed is her polite way of preparing us for sleepless nights with a newborn again. I'll post pictures of her room once we get it all set up.

She's getting very excited about the baby now. She says "Baby sit" to tell the baby to sit in the driver's seat with me. She puts her sippy cup and food up to my belly and says "Baby mmm". She points out babies everywhere and loves to hold babydolls! Now if we can just work on her not putting the babydolls in a headlock, I think she'll be a perfect big sis with her real baby brother. :)

New Phrases:
  • "Oh Man!" - She repeats this from Swiper the Fox on Dora. The best part is watching her being so compassionate with her eyes when she says it.
  • "Hi Bu" for hi bus.
  • "Hello Mama (or Dada, Baby, or Dixie, etc.)".
  • "Dada werk" for figuring out where her daddy is everyday.

Things that ME is into now:

  • She LOVES Dora! She chases me around the house with the remote and says "Boots, Dor" until I turn on a Dora episode. Thanks goodness for DVR!!!
  • She's developed a sense of style.

Take note that all she is wearing is this rain jacket, a diaper, and her shoes. Luckily, it was actually raining that day, so she wasn't too far off!

She not only likes to pick out her clothes, but she likes to dress herself, too. Notice that the waistband to the pants are at the wrong end.
