Fair Day with the Grands

LaLa and Dandy took the kids to the fair today. From the stories I heard this evening, they had a blast!

Waiting for rides.

Flying on Dumbo

ME loves the animals!

The princess practicing her wave.

My expressionless-faced son loved Nemo! Can't you tell? :)

Benjamin did love the choo choo though!

The princess practicing her wave on the train.

It took all 3 of them to get LaLa to ride!

Doesn't she look like a natural?

I sure hope this is the only motorcycle that Ben Ben will ride!

They had fun racing, too!

I love how this pic looks like she's really racing!

I CANNOT believe that they got LaLa to ride the Teacups!!! She must think that these kids are pretty special!

A trip to the fair is never complete without a corn dog!

He loved his "porn dog"!

Mischeivous Ben Ben found some rocks.

You can't ever trust this cute face!

You just gotta love a corn pit!

Of course, Benjamin found shovels to scoop and I'm sure throw all of the corn with!

This looks like a comfy spot to rest!

My two handsome boys at the fair.

Ice cream is always a good treat, too!

Benjamin is pouting, though, because he didn't have his own cup.

The pout didn't last too long!

A day with the grands at the fair, some rides, a corn dog, and some ice cream...makes for a happy girl!
After a fun day at the fair, these kids were definitely NOT tired...

...or were they?

My little man is THREE!!!

We're so excited to be able to celebrate year number 3 with him! He's pretty blessed to have such awesome grandparents that he lives nearby also!

Benjamin started his morning off by having breakfast with LaLa and Dandy...he requested to have "pink doughuts" (aka strawberry doughnuts with sprinkles from Shipley's).
Benjamin was a sticky mess!

He was so excited about his Nerf toy!

And his new firefighter rain boots and his Razorback pants!

I was able to get over to Benjamin's class in time for his snack and let him share cupcakes with his friends. He was pretty excited to have me be in his class! He kept giving me this sweet smile.

Benjamin was pretty happy with his Cheese Puffs (shhh!!! Don't tell ME!) and his cupcake. He didn't want to let any crumb go to waste.

I know it looks like he ate ALL day, but I promise that he didn't! However, I decided to take Benjamin on a date to get a Sonic drink with me. I love getting to spend one-on-one time with each of my babies! He was such a gentleman and placed the order for us. ;)

He always knows how to keep the conversation rolling with his silly faces.
After our mini-date, we picked up ME. Benjamin was so excited to see Arthur, Grinch, and an empty lunch box in her school's front lobby! In fact, he was so excited that he asked me to take a pic of him. Ha!

Once we got home, I had to let the kiddos enjoy the beautiful weather! Benjamin did a great job of stomping on caterpillars!

Meanwhile, ME did a great job of painting/decorating a pumpkin. Can you see birthday boy bug smashing in the background?

Benjamin requested French Fries for his birthday dinner, so French Fries it was. We drove right past a new restaurant, Mooyah's, that we had been to recently and he instantly said he wanted those French Fries. I love that he's so easy to please!

Drew and I have been blessed with such a happy, healthy, and handsome boy! He seriously lights up our lives everyday. I can't wait to see what he will develop an interest in when he grows up. Pretty much since he was a little baby, he's always been into music. He still loves playing the guitar, but he now has a pretty mean Elvis-shakin' leg! Maybe he'll have some rhythm like his momma! But he's also starting to karate chop everything in sight and kick around a ball or throw them. I love that he's complete boy all the way through, but at the end of the day, he still has time to cuddle up with me.

Ben Ben Andrews Dees, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, baby!

Both of my boys turning 3

Verna sent me these pics of Drew and Benjamin from both of their third birthdays. I love how they are both making the same expression!

ME loves school!

When Benjamin and I picked up ME from school, she was in CARE (the afterschool program). They were learning about healthy food choices. When we left, the teachers gave her a bag full of stuff, including a certificate. She was so excited about it that she wanted me to take a pic of her. Whatever the princess says...

Benjamin's birthday lunch at VeVe's

We started Benjamin's birthday festivities for the week today at VeVe's house. Is it really possible that he's going to be 3 tomorrow? Where does the time go?

ME has gotten really good at her "job" that VeVe has given her everytime we eat at her house. She takes everyone's drink order and places a check next to the picture of the drink. This is serious business!
ME proudly helped her VeVe carry the cake to Benjamin while singing. Multitasking at it's best!

I think he's as surprised to see the number "3" as I am!

A birthday cake wouldn't taste good without licking the candle!

Benjamin has gotten really good at showing his 3 fingers to say he's "three right here" because he's been doing it ever since McKenzie turned three. Now he finally got to show his real three right here!

Benjamin was real disappointed in his presents today because they were ummm...well, practical. Ha! VeVe got him nothing but clothes (oh and a book) today because that's really all that he needs. Although he still hasn't gotten much bigger, he's finally getting taller and needs longer clothes. After every present he opened, he said "That's not a toy" in the most pathetic voice. Guess Drew and I need to work on being appreciative of what you get. :) Thanks VeVe for the clothes! I appreciated them!!!

This was not the book that he got today...it was a book that ME got when she was a little bitty baby. But Benjamin wanted to "read" it to us today. He did a great job of mimicking his teacher.
