Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

ME went back in time

LaLa took Mary Elizabeth to the Farmer's Market today and then ended up kidnapping her for the day. They took a detour downtown to the Historic AR Museum. From the looks of all the pics, I'm pretty sure she had a blast!

She's cranking the wheel to make rope.ME got to lasso her rope (one of her favorite things to do, btw) after she made it.

My sweet ME wrapped bandages for the soldiers.

After their trip to the Museum, ME spotted a wading pool that she had to dip her feet in.

Then she told LaLa that she needed a snack. I think a cupcake is a great option for a snack!

Luckily Mother's Day is tomorrow and they brought me some to share with my family.

Another field trip to the zoo

I love that the kid's daycare takes them on so many field trips (Benjamin has been on 2 and ME has now been on 3 this year!). Benjamin just so happened to be running fever that day, so he conveniently found a way to come along too. Ha! I loved watching ME interact with her new friends that she's made this year at her new school, especially the ones with special needs. She keeps telling me that she wants to be a doctor (and a teacher and a firefighter, too)...whatever she is, I know it's going to be helping out others in someway.

Isn't this priceless? I love their looks of wonder and amazement as they look at the crazy monkeys swinging around. I can't remember in all my trips to the LR Zoo of ever seeing the oranguntan actually doing anything! I think I was even amazed to see it hanging from the ropes! ME and her two best girlfriends (LMB and CA). Yeah! She finally has girls that live in the same town and she plays with them! I love hearing all of the crazy stories that they come up with from school everyday. I think she could be a great "towgirl". Benjamin loved getting to follow his sissy and her friend around all day. But it was tough work keeping up with the bid kids and having a fever. :( ME is so excited that the Penguin Place is finally here! She still loves those things! Benjamin just couldn't get close enough with watching some of the animals. I love these two crazy kids!
This was a little freaky to me...the bear walked right up to the glass as we were looking a him. YIKES!

Happy Mother's Day

I am truly blessed to be able to celebrate Mother's Day with two of the most wonderful kids in the world. I'm so lucky to get to see these two precious faces everyday! But more importantly, I learned how to be a great mom from the best mom that I know...LaLa. Happy Mother's Day to all mom's out there!

Happy Mothers Day!

I asked ME to write a card to LaLa for Mother's Day...and she did! She wrote LaLa on some paper for her! I know it's silly but I sure did get teary-eyed over this!

Young at Art

If anyone knows ME at all, they know that she LOVES to "tolor" and paint. Well, I'm happy to say that her love for art has earned her a few ribbons (a 1st place and a couple of 2nd place ribbons) from the kid's school PTA fundraiser.

ME showing off her watercolor dino that won a 1st place ribbon.

And I'm proud to say that Benjamin is starting to take a liking to art as well. He won a 2nd place ribbon for some cute penguin's made from his thumbprints. Of course, I couldn't get him to pose for that. I did, however, catch this shot of him painting a picture for me...oh wait...nope, he painted his legs instead (a future in body art?).

A few days later ME requested to paint a picture for Davis since he has a new baby sister. She said that would be nice. Do you think the pink polka dot bow is too much that she cut and glued all by herself? Ha!

We got a playground!

Some of our friends recently gave us their backyard playset that their son has outgrown. We surprised them today with the reveal. I think they were kind of stunned after seeing it in so many pieces days prior to it. Anyway, I have a feeling that we'll be spending a lot of time out in the "rainforest on Mary Elizabeth's pirate ship" and I'll be spending a lot of time with my stomach in knots considering Benjamin has NO fear of climbing up on anything. YIKES!

Horses, eggs, and family=Easter 2011

We went to "Camp McDonald" to celebrate Easter with VeVe's sister and all of her group. Luckily Benjamin took a nap on our way up there because the day was filled with fun! I captured this sweet "Kodak moment" just before we walked into church.

Then I guess they decided that they weren't going to cooperate for pictures the rest of the day. Ha!

Who knew that Easter eggs could bring such goodies?

The "kiddie table"...Rhett, ME, Grant, and Alex. Do you think any real food was ever eaten here? Ha! Benjamin got to eat at the big kid's table in his high chair.

Benjamin: "Hey, that's my ball!"

Of course, a trip to Mom Tom's house wouldn't be complete without seeing the horses. Always a fun treat!

This can't be a good idea!

Well, I guess the first way of riding in the golf cart was a better idea than this way. Yikes!

The kids sure did stock up on their share of Easter candy! I love ME's mischevious look in this picture. "Mom, I promise that this is good for me!"
