My little man got to hang out with my little friends!

Little Rock had an unbelievable wind storm last night causing a lot of places to lose power...including Benjamin's school and making them close at 1 today. I had to get him before his school closed, but luckily we were having our class Christmas party today (and yes, I still call it a CHRISTMAS party instead of a holiday party!). Ben Ben was so excited to see me and to find out where he was going that he wouldn't stop talking from his school to mine! He had such a great time with my little Kinders and they were so sweet to him! My "teacher for the day" was absent today, so I let him be the line leader while he was their and now he keeps reminding me that he's the teacher. Ha!

Being cool with the big kids.

Watching a movie so I could get some assessments done.

The kids decorated cookies during the party so Ben Ben had to partake!

Ben Ben wasn't the least bit shy licking the icing!

Or using the sprinkles!

Or eating it!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

The kids got to spend the night with VeVe and help her get her house ready for Christmas...even though we haven't even had Thanksgiving! VeVe was even brave enough to take the kids to the mall to see Santa.

A Rock Star and a Pirate at church

We went to the Fall Carnival tonight at church. Mary Elizabeth chose to be a rock star (thanks to Fresh Beat Band) and Benjamin wanted to be a lion. Sadly, I couldn't find a lion costume big enough for him! So Drew took him shopping and Ben Ben chose a pirate costume.

Stars and Stripes Celebration

VeVe and D-Dub took the kids to MacArthur Park for the Stars and Stripes Celebration. Who doesn't love patriotic music? It's perfect for all ages!

It's perfect for dancing crazy, too!

Mother's Day gifts for our mommas

I had to show the closeups of what we gave LaLa and VeVe for Mother's Day. I love how they turned out!

2012 Mother's Day

Now that we're finally settled into our house, we thought it was a perfect chance to have Mother's Day lunch at our house for our FABULOUS moms! Drew did a great job with preparing everything...he even set the table for us!

Dandy and his little girls

We finally have a place for everyone to sit!

Well...almost everyone. :)

I love that Kari found this cute idea on Pinterest!

Ben Ben is always needing to have some camera time

Not too bad for a family pic!

ME is such a party planner
After lunch, she wanted us to all play games...first up was leg wrestling with her brother

Then, ME wanted us to play her "Daddy's bag game in the front yard (aka Baggo)". Benjamin had to demonstrate how to properly play Baggo and go over the rules with us.

Benjamin is a pro at Baggo. Of course, the fire boots add extra assistance in his playing skills.

He is risen indeed!

Magically the Easter Bunny figured out where we've been staying and filled the kids Easter Baskets! They were so excited this morning to see that the bunny really did come to Brant and Kari's house. I know that the kids don't really understand the purpose of the holiday, but it sure is fun to see their excitement, to go to church with family, and spend time with family. ME is starting to comprehend that Jesus died on the cross and that He's somewhere up there...guess I need to work on the meaning a little more!

ME claiming her candy-filled eggs.

Annie got to enjoy her first Easter, too.

ME sure does love some makeup!

I guess the Easter Bunny heard that Benjamin didn't have any boy costumes in McKenzie's playroom or at school. Check out the cutest "Pooperman" (aka Superman)!

McKenzie let Kari put a bow in her hair this morning and she still had it in after church!

LaLa got all of the kids these stickon mustaches. Aren't they cute?

The trio enjoying all of their loot from the egg hunt.

Since Annie couldn't participate in the egg hunt, she got to just chill. I think she looks pretty cool with a mustache. ;)

After we had lunch at LaLa and Dandy's house, we went back to Brant and Kari's. The kids went straight to playing with their basket goodies.

The Pooperman was rescuing his Sissy.
