Fair Day with the Grands

LaLa and Dandy took the kids to the fair today. From the stories I heard this evening, they had a blast!

Waiting for rides.

Flying on Dumbo

ME loves the animals!

The princess practicing her wave.

My expressionless-faced son loved Nemo! Can't you tell? :)

Benjamin did love the choo choo though!

The princess practicing her wave on the train.

It took all 3 of them to get LaLa to ride!

Doesn't she look like a natural?

I sure hope this is the only motorcycle that Ben Ben will ride!

They had fun racing, too!

I love how this pic looks like she's really racing!

I CANNOT believe that they got LaLa to ride the Teacups!!! She must think that these kids are pretty special!

A trip to the fair is never complete without a corn dog!

He loved his "porn dog"!

Mischeivous Ben Ben found some rocks.

You can't ever trust this cute face!

You just gotta love a corn pit!

Of course, Benjamin found shovels to scoop and I'm sure throw all of the corn with!

This looks like a comfy spot to rest!

My two handsome boys at the fair.

Ice cream is always a good treat, too!

Benjamin is pouting, though, because he didn't have his own cup.

The pout didn't last too long!

A day with the grands at the fair, some rides, a corn dog, and some ice cream...makes for a happy girl!
After a fun day at the fair, these kids were definitely NOT tired...

...or were they?

Random pics of my crazy kids

Ok, really this is mainly about Benjamin, but I had to share these pics even though there wasn't an appropriate category.

I'm hoping this is one of the few times I'll ever see him on a motorcycle!

This is Benjamin's idea of playing with his trucks...lining them up in a row. Remind you of a little girl at Christmas time?

Benjamin's teacher sent this to me from one day this summer. He was really enjoying his lunch!
Drew sent this to me while ME and I were working at KOTA Camp. The message said "I'll teach you to leave me behind".

My parents always get the kids on Wednesday since Dandy is usually off.

Don't you think they need a few more kiddos to add into the group? :)

Farm living is the life for us

So my plan for today was to take Benjamin to school, go grocery shopping, then take ME to the pool to work on swimming. I told ME to get dressed in her "bathin' soup" before we took Ben Ben to school, which she did. After we dropped him off, she asked why she was wearing her "bathin' soup". So I told her that she and I were going swimming after we went grocery shopping. A few minutes passed by and she asked who we were going swimming with. After I told her that it was just she and I, a few more minutes passed by. Then she informed me that she didn't want to go swimming with just me. She needed someone else to come watch her swim and that the lifeguards can't do it because they were working. So instead of going swimming, she chose to keep her "swimsoup" on all day and just hang out.

Later we had to swing by LaLa's office for a moment, where she decided that she needed to stay and help La work (still in her swimsoup). LaLa said that was fine and that she would take ME, Benjamin, and McKenzie to her co-worker's farm to play with the animals

After ME got home, she informed me that she's allergic. To what you ask? To turtles, of course, because she doesn't like them!

I don't think McKenzie isn't allergic to them!

Our little dancin' queen

Today  was ME's dance recital at Wildwood Park for Performing Art. It was quite a change coming from all of my years spent at Robinson Auditorium, but it was still fun to see our baby girl on stage!

My modest little mini-me
There were no dressing rooms backstage, so ME was not happy about having to change in front of everyone back there. Mom and Sarah, sound familiar? :)

We found some props backstage, so I tried to catch a few snapshots. Professional model right? :)

McKenzie and Benjamin got to come this year. McKenzie was so excited to come that she wore her "dance shoes" (black patent church shoes). She balled after we left because she thought she was going to get to dance on stage.

Tada!
ME did a great job dancing...after her eyes adjusted to the lights and she found her teacher to follow along with the steps.

After the recital, we had a little photo op with ME and Ben Ben. I guess Benjamin was too cool for posing.

ME was so excited to get her bouqet of flowers. She asked me several times this morning if she would be getting some just like last year. I guess she did a great job since she got more than one bouqet.

She was proud of her flowers!

We're so proud of our little dancin' queen!

Benjamin was proud of his sissy too. He just didn't want to be part of our group photo.
