Wondering where I've been? My domain expired so I've had to go back to my old address. I'm still around, but just be sure to enter blogspot in the address!

Does 22 months=terrible twos?
First of all, I want to thank everyone that has been so interested in how ME is adjusting to Benjamin being in our home. After you read this post, you can decide.
Our sweet, sweet Mary Elizabeth is now 22 months old and is a big sister. However, she is starting to show her not so sweet, sweet side these days. Ask Drew or my parents that have witnessed it first-hand!
One thing that is still the same with ME is that she is a creature of routine. Here's her new routine ever since we got home from the hospital on Saturday...it's like a lightswitch is flipped at 7:30 p.m. and she turns into spaz-child! For a while, she's been running through the kitchen after you countdown "1,2,3, go", but now, she has taken that to the hallway and then gallops through the living room around the couch. Although you may think this is cute like we did the first night, you have to realize that she's also screaming on the top of her lungs and then saying "NO!" several times if we get anywhere near her. I want to know who taught her that ugly word and I would like for you to delete that out of her vocabulary, please! Anyway, after she does that about 10 times, I'm finally able to get her to make a detour to her bedroom to play with her millions of stuffed animals on her bed. Then I turn off the lights, while hearing "NO!" repeatedly. Then she tosses and turns a gagillion times, then gives the bedrail zurburts (or raspberrys). Trust me, it's so hard not to laugh while watching her do all of this! However, tonight she changed up her routine a little more and just screamed, yelled, and threw a fit the whole time. Can we say "Hello, terrible twos?" It broke my heart when she threw her sippy cup at me. I hope this doesn't last long! Luckily, Drew was able to intervene and calm her down tonight!
Now please don't get me wrong...she is still a very sweet and loving princess, but we are just starting to see another side of her at night.
Here's her sweet sharing side. She's letting Boots and Dora press the button on her busy gear toy. She likes for everyone to have a turn at whatever she does...including Benjamin!
Words:
Words:
"no"=no
"now"=after she puts things back
"back"=when she wants things put back in the right spot
"otay"=okay
"told"=hold
"telp"=help
"tinzie"=her cousin McKenzie
"dot dog"=hot dog
"puntin"=pumpkin
"puntin"=pumpkin
"there it is"
"I'm big sister."
She adds a "t" to most words and she's starting to get more clear on her sentences, too!

- Last year 130 Arkansas women died of ovarian cancer.
- In 2009, over 22,000 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer; over 15,000 will die.
- The symptoms are silent, so please listen: pelvic pain, bloating, frequent urination & feeling full quickly.
- If you have had certain forms of hormonal breast cancer you have a higher risk of getting ovarian cancer.
Please come and help support the women of Arkansas .
The Arkansas Ovarian Cancer Coalition (AROVCC) exists with the purpose to educate the public about the signs and symptoms affecting the women of Arkansas . The AROVCC, whose membership is comprised of individuals who each have been personally impacted by ovarian cancer, works to help save lives by disseminating information on the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, ovarian cancer research, and resources available. By promoting professional and public awareness through educational materials, mass mail-outs, rallies, seminars and fundraising events the AROVCC has developed into the driving force against ovarian cancer in the State.

I'm going dot com
Just so you'll know, I have now changed my design web address to be just www.deesignsbyerin.com (I took the "blogspot" out of the address). Hopefully this will be easier for you to remember when you're spreading the word about my products. I'm working on a few new things during my "free time", so I'll hopefully be able to sit down soon and upload the pictures of my new projects.
Don't forget that I'm due October 13th, so if you're needing/wanting anything by around that same time, please let me know ASAP! I have a few projects on my list, but oddly enough, I work better under pressure deadlines, so I can work you in.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day weekend!!!

New items on Deesigns by Erin
Be sure to check out my business blog by clicking here or on my logo at the top right corner, and tell others about me. I've added a few new items on my site but am still working on a few new projects. Of course, when I got started, I realized I didn't have all the materials that I needed so getting started has taking me a lot longer than I hoped for. But please keep checking out my blog and let me know if you're interested in ordering anything!

DEESigns by Erin
OK, so I've been working very slowly on heading up my personal business, DEESigns by Erin. Most of you probably don't know that I have a degree in interior design. I worked for a few companies my first few years out of college, but I just felt that I wasn't getting to use my creativity. So I thought I would try something totally different...teaching.
Anyway, I still practice interior design (mainly decorating), and am starting to make some children's products. I know that the economy is very yucko right now, but my rates are not! If you are interested in updating your home, I would be glad to talk to you about how I can help. Or look at the list of my products that I can personally make for you.
Please tell your friends about me, and be sure to check out my website often, as I'll be adding new items and pictures periodically. Spring Break is next week, so I hope to get a lot more pictures uploaded next week!
