Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

I LOVE CHRISTMAS BREAK!!!

I love Christmas Break for so many reasons!!! The best one of all, though, is getting to spend some much needed time with my 2 favorite little people!
I got to finish last-minute Christmas decorations with my cute helpers. Didn't they do a great job on the gingerbread house? Can you see all of the fingerprints on the icing? ME loved licking the icing! Ha!
Benjamin "graduated" to a "big boy bed" this week! We converted his crib to a toddler bed. Knock on wood,  but so far he's done really well with the switch!
ME loved getting to strut her stuff in her new monogrammed robe! I think she wore it every night during Christmas break.

And, of course, we had to get some time in with Jesus every now and then. I love that ME still loves to play with her nativity scene and that Benjamin now loves to play with it too!

The weather was so nice this week that we got to play outside a lot. ME learned how to swing all by herself, so I got to just enjoy watching her swing.

There's nothing better than getting to see the look of a sweet, smiling face!
I'm sure you're wondering where Benjamin is in these pictures...he was busy just running around in the leaves...never staying still!

A little bit of Christmas this 'n that

Here are just a few more pictures that I wanted to post for Christmas...

Santa visited the kid's school last week while Drew and I were in NY. One of ME's classmates' mom's works there and was able to sanp this photo of her with Santa. For some reason, he always makes this hand gesture every year.

This beautiful rice-filled/sock snowman was created by Mary Elizabeth at school. Miss Meagan was very adamant with where she wanted to place all of the decorations. Sadly, he lost an eye!

I have loved all of the handprint and footprint masterpieces that the kids have done in their classes this year! This is Benjamin's "1-foot-tall Christmas tree". Isn't it too cute?!?!

2011 Stats for my WELL-babies

Drew and I are truly blessed to have such healthy children! We're reminded of this often considering who some of their classmates are at school with special needs. I wanted to be sure to include both of my kiddos stats from their well-baby checkups for 2011 so I would have them written down.

Benjamin at his 2-year-old checkup:
Weight: 28.4 lbs (53.5%)
Height: 34.5” (48.46%)
Head: 19.5” (71.8%)
Who would've ever thought that we would have a short, little guy on our hands? He's built like his 2 grandpas. :)
Mary Elizabeth:
Weight: 44 lbs (93.9%)
Height:3.52” (81.28%)
She passed her hearing test, but failed her vision screening due to being silly. So we have to go see an eye doctor in a few weeks to make sure that's really why she failed it. Hmmm...

Christmas at LaLa and Dandy's

It didn't take long for the kiddos to figure out how to use all of their goodies from Santa today before we headed to my parent's house for Christmas! ME instantly found her way into her new Tinkerbell sleeping bag/couch to watch a new movie, while Benjamin found the best routes for his train on his new train table. :)

My sweet PaPa got to join in on all of the Christmas action and play with ME's new Toy Story Barbies. I think that was my favorite gift. Ha!

My dad was so proud of Benajmin's present that he had to wrap it himself! If you can't read the card, it says "Benjamin's 1st Greenhaw's Package 2011". I wish you could've seen Dandy's face when he showed all of us this package!

The girls were busy sharing all of their toys that Santa brought them while we waited for Christmas lunch.

Benjamin and ME were excitied to finally to get to try out Benjamin's new wheels from Daddy Mike. I can see many rides on this in the future!

Could this be any sweeter???

Is it me, or do you think LaLa and Dandy went overboard?

Benjamin just couldn't figure out what Dandy's hype was over this green package!
The girls even had to try to snap a shot with Dandy, maybe hoping to get a Greenhaw's package too.
CROC SKIN BOOTS! I have no comment for this!

Christmas Morning

I can't believe how excited Drew and I get about Christmas morning now that we have kids...and now that they get "it"! It is so much fun waking up early in the morning and seeing their expressions!
Proof that Santa did come!

Santa was even polite and wrote back!

There's  nothing like waking up with morning hair and walking into the living room to find your grandparents, tons of presents, and getting your picture taken!

Christmas morning tea

ME got a Princess tea set this morning from Santa. I loved watching her face light up while playing with it this morning! I can't wait for many tea parties in the future!

Christmas Eve in Batesville

We spent Christmas Eve with VeVe's side of the family today in Batesville. The kids always have a blast going up there everytime...it's a mini-Disneyland in their eyes. :)

Benjamin...the next Beethoven.

We couldn't get Benjamin away from the piano!

He was having too much fun that he had VeVe take off his "jack-jack" (jacket).

Maybe not Beethoven...maybe just the next Jerry Lee Lewis!

Benjamin thought he would be helpful by helping VeVe, Aunt Nan, and Mom Tom decorate Mama Sam's walker.

Mama Sam tried all day getting a hug from this busy body.

ME had so much fun playing with the "big kids".

While Benjamin was busy helping set the mood with his musical skills, ME helped VeVe set the dinner table. She's really gotten into being the "passer outer" of the napkins!

After dinner, Benjamin had his taste of an Andrews tradition...boiled custard.

Do you think he liked it? Ha! I think he licked the cup clean!

Since it's Christmas Eve, I had the kids write their letter to Santa in the car on our way back to Little Rock tonight.

Benjamin really put some thought into his writing. Ha!

Well, I can't wait for the kids to wake up in the morning to see what Santa brought them! They're both starting to really understand the whole concept of how Santa works. Tomorrow morning should be lots of fun!
